"The Great New York Garage Sale" ®

          The Great New York Garage Sale ® is held every year in early Fall, on the last weekend in September, a great time to drive through the hills and valleys of New York State. This is a beautiful time of year to shop one's way across the state looking for treasures and bargains, both old and new. Furniture, Antiques, .Household Items, and Clothing, as well as Handmade Art and Crafts are just some of the items found along the 500 mile route. Driving the entire route will take you through 14 Counties, starting at the Vermont border, following route 7, passing Southwest through the beautiful Catskill Mountains down to Binghamton. Then it turns North along Route 11 winding its way through the hills and valleys of Central New York to Syracuse. The journey continues on Route 11 North through the Tug Hill Plateau, and across the upper Adirondacks stopping just short of the Canadian border.
          Hundreds of independant individual garage, yard, antique, and art-craft sales are scattered throughout, both rural countrysides, and city streets.
