In my experience this campaign is a wasted effort. When folks create a community legend, nothing will convince them to change. No matter how strong evidence to the contrary, nor how absurd the legend, nor offering a plethera of more appropriate native flowering plants, will sway stubburn, narrow minded people from sticking to thier mistaken beliefs.
